To make it even better for trail-riding aficionados, Mexico is one of few countries in the world that allow unrestricted access to the entirety of its vast unpaved road and trail network, thus offering unlimited off-road riding opportunities!
Valle de Bravo, located 145 kms south-west of Mexico City, is an amazing 18th century town nestled on the shore of beautiful Lake Avandaro surrounded by a forested volcanic mountain range. The old town centre features time-worn cobble stone alleys and traditional adobe homes and colonial buildings. Blessed with great weather and moderate temperatures for most of the year, Valle serves as the perfect backdrop for multiple outdoor sports such as quad and dirt bike riding, mountain biking, paragliding, waterskiing, kayaking, rock climbing, hiking, sailing, golf, tennis, and horse back riding. Given its status as a favorite holiday destination for Mexico City’s elite, Valle’s many excellent restaurants offer a seducing array of gourmet dining experiences.
Amongst many other sporting events, Valle de Bravo hosted the 2009 World Paragliding Championships as well as the 6th round of the 2009 World Enduro Championship Series. For 2012, Valle is once again bidding to host its second WEC SERIES race, a most prestigious enduro race that will see the factory racing teams return to our beautiful lake-side town.
